SOMETHING FOR NOTHING ?

Barter ads, which might also be known as contra ads, is the process where a publisher will give advertising to the value of x to a company, and in return that company will give the publisher goods or services to the same value.
In theory it seems like a good deal, and indeed if the goods or services are actually beneficial to the publisher then it can work well. For us, we did a barter ad deal with an airline that allowed us to use them for flights to our office in Chiang Mai.
But they are not a substitute for revenue and should always be used sparingly. Far too many magazines have gone bust in Thailand relying on these kinds of deals and having no money left when it came to paying employees and printers.

G'day!
This form of doing business is indeed interesting and unique only to Thailand, I guess. It's probably impossible in Singapore.
Nice and clean looking template for the blog by the way!
Cheers :)
