THE CASE OF THE MISSING TAXI

The taxi didn't arrive this morning - no call, no explanation, it just wasn't there.
The last time this happened a few weeks ago there was a reason - it was raining hard and the world and his wife would have been trying to book. The fact we are regular customers however didn't make the slightest difference. But this morning there was no rain.
We eventually got one, having walked the five minutes to the end of our street, but arrived at the office a good 30 minutes later than normal. And this morning's driver had a habit for changing radio stations more often than he changed gears - no kidding.
