MORE ABOUT ME AND MY MEDIA LIFE
Few of my colleagues know about my life in the UK media. From time to time I do mention bits and pieces about past experiences, but very few know exactly what I have done.
I began my media career as a trainee photographer for The Bracknell News in 1992. The highlights of my time there were covering the Windsor Castle fire as well as travelling to Gothenburg, Bologna and Split with the Thames Valley Tigers basketball team.
From Bracknell I moved to its sister paper The Reading Chronicle where I gained valuable experience covering Reading Football Club. Then I moved to The Wokingham Times to become chief photographer.
My media life has been far more than just photography. During the past 15 years I have been sports editor, deputy editor, sub editor, production editor and marketing manager (to name a few) for newspapers and magazines.
The good thing about my job now is that I am using all of those experiences gained in the UK.

It’s important to have a job that you love and passionate about. That’s what keeps you in the industry for a very long time.
I’m glad I had the opportunity too. :)
Enjoy media.
Yes, if you're passionate about your job then it doesn't feel like you're going to work every day. If you love your job then it really does make so much difference.
