MAGAZINES TO BE CERTIFIED

I must admit this little story from the Public Relations Department of the Royal Thai Government slipped through my media net. Back in mid-June they announced that The Order of Constructive and Safe Media (yes, really) has requested the Government to push for ratings of TV programs to upgrade the quality of the media. Tagged on the end of this release is that magazines will also be subject to ratings, along with radio and the Internet.
In principal there's not much wrong with this approach. It happens with movies so why not with magazines too? I just wonder what form the certification process might take? Will it come down to an '18-style' emblem on the cover of those titles considered to be for adults only?
So long as publishers and producers are aware of what is needed to be considered acceptable for a particular category that I think it's a reasonably sound idea.
