ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST

Business media is having a tough time globally, and one high-profile casualty in the US is the Business 2.0 magazine. Even with a circulation of more than 600,000 copies it just couldn't make ends meet. It was said to be heading for a US$10 million loss this year. Some of the staff and content are reportedly being merged with sister publication Fortune.
Magazine come and go around the world, and finding a successful formula is increasingly difficult. It's not enough to have good editorial; that has to be complemented with good marketing and good advertising sales. Find that, and you have yourself a goldmine.
Some say that print is a dying industry. I disagree, and the evidence is that people are increasingly coming back to newspapers and magazines because they realise that only this form of media can provide a truly personal reading experience.

Still nothing better than reading something in print. I just find it so much easier to digest something written in a book or newspaper as opposed to scrolling through a webpage.
