PAWS FOR THOUGHT

Moto's been feeling a bit sorry for himself this week. On Sunday he pounced into the top of my mini-oven whilst I was cooking. Needless to say he soon pounced off again but not before he'd burnt his front left paw. It's not serious and he's pretty much back to normal now, but for a few days he was limping around and a bit quiet.
We also took him to the vet last week for a check-up and blood test. Thai cats apparently have a tendency to develop leukemia, but Moto's results were fine. What was picked up was a slightly high reading for his kidney functions, and that needs to be checked further.

cats are notorious for kidney issues. One problem is that they seem to have trouble drinking from still water, so they don't drink enough. After noticing that every zoo I've ever been in has moving water for their cats, we got our cat a little "waterfall" drinking bowl. He drinks like a fish, now.

Thanks for the tip David. I will see if I can find something like that here for Moto. He generally drinks about half a glass of water per day, which is probably not enough.
