MOON SHOT
I have to admit to being really pleased with this picture. Despite the noise from the temple last night (see previous post) I was wide awake at 4am this morning. With little to do I stepped out onto my balcony, grabbed my camera and took a few snaps of the moon. For those interested these images were taken with my Nikon D70s and a 300mm lens. I used a shutter speed of 1/500th sec and an aperture of f8. That gives you an idea of how bright the moon appeared this morning. I've selectively enlarged the centre of the original image but nothing else has been digitally enhanced or modified. What's amazing is the fact you can see the craters, especially on the bottom left on this image. There's a lot of detail although I don't think this is totally a full moon. I might get an even better picture tomorrow morning, weather permitting.
