WAT A LOT OF NOISE

One of the 'advantages' of living next door to a temple (known as a wat in Thai) is the occasional festival or funeral. Last night I got home to discover the latter - and a big one at that.
Strangely I find the sound of monks chanting - even the chanting they do at funerals - quite relaxing, but last night's event seemed to be more of a celebration with traditional Thai music and what seemed like karaoke. (I'm sure it wasn't but that's what it sounded like). It was still going on when I finally drifted off to sleep around 11pm.
I think I am right in saying that Buddhist funerals last for three days so perhaps I have another two nights of this to come? I wonder if I will be brave enough to venture out with my camera tonight and get a picture so you can see?
