DIRTY AIR

I wouldn't consider Bangkok to be a heavily polluted city despite the almost constant traffic jams combined with the often oppressive atmosphere and heat, however it's been apparent in the past week or so that air quality has deteriorated markedly.
I suffer from asthma and I've been using my drugs far more than usual. And as this picture which I took on Tuesday shows, there's also a distinct haze in the capital. Fog has also been causing a problem at Suvarnabhumi airport, especially in the mornings leading to some flights being diverted.
The weather is still hot, humid and relatively sunny. I hope we get some wind soon to clear all this pollution.

Yesterday I saw a foreigner walking around Chid Lom station wearing a full-on gas mask! Maybe that would help your asthma? (Although it must be said he did receive some rather strange looks).

Wearing a gas mask would certainly help but I'm not brave enough to cope with the looks.
