HAPPY HOLIDAYS
There's a definite end of term feeling going on in my office today. It's the last working day before Songkran - and five long days off. Some of my staff are going upcountry (upcountry is defined as anywhere outside of Bangkok) to their home towns. Because Thai employees get comparatively few personal holidays this is the time of year when many take a well-earned long break. I read somewhere that up to 3 million Bangkokians will be leaving the capital so it might be pretty quiet this weekend.
