MY NEW TOY
I have finally taken the plunge and got a Nokia N95. I've always been the kind of person that thinks a phone is for talking, and not for photographs, listening to music and generally organising ones life. I might change my mind about the N95 - as soon as I get hold of a copy of the English instruction manual to replace the Thai one that was supplied!
What's amazing from a photography perspective alone is the power of the camera - it's 5MP. Only two years ago the camera I was using back in the UK for newspaper photography was 4MP. Sure, it's not what you've got but what you do with it that matters but all the same it's pretty impressive. And so are the first few shots I managed to take with is this afternoon. Hopefully I can show you some tomorrow.

phones are awesome
Thanks Kitty. Actually it took me a while to get use to actually paying for a handset. In the UK I don't think I ever paid for a phone - it came free as part of the contract. I know that means you probably pay more than you need to for calls but I'm surprised that hasn't really caught on in Thailand.
