I'M A WINNER WITH THE NATION
Woo Hoo. I'm a winner with The Nation.
On Friday there was a competition posted on the 'Friends of The Nation' Facebook page. I answered the question and was one of five winners chosen to receive a Valentine's Bear, courtesy of Robinsons Department store.
I got an email yesterday evening, congratulating me on my win, and telling me I can collect my Bear anytime from today until 22nd of the month. Perfect - considering Valentine's Day was .. err .. yesterday!

One of the few occasions on which 'you have to be in it to win it' is a disincentive rather than an incentive.
I know I shouldn't really be whinging as I've won, but the fact is that (a) it would have been nice to have had the Valentine's Bear BEFORE Valentine's day, and (b) if I want to collect my prize I now have to make a trip to Robinsons Rachada store to get it. As you say Matthew, it's now almost an inconvenience to have won.
What I meant was, if the competition was only open to "Friends of The Nation" group-members, I'm glad I couldn't enter. Pointless comment in retrospect :)
