THE CHALLENGE OF BUYING A MAGAZINE
If it wasn't so frustrating it would be funny.
I've lost count of the number of times I have taken a magazine to the sales counter to pay, only for the details not to have been previously recorded in the point-of-sale system - hence the need for at least three (and in one case five) members of staff attempting to resolve the situation.
It's name and shame time, and I have to say that from my own experiences it's B2S and Asia Books that are by far the worst. What's the point of having a magazine on sale when you have no record of it when someone actually wants to buy a copy?
Lesser mortals might have walked away - and it's worrying for any publisher when the magazine purchase experience is anything less than simple and quick.
