TIME: TO PAKISTAN AND BACK

If you want to get hold of current and recent past copies of TIME magazine then pay a visit to the best place in Bangkok to get hold of magazines – at Chatuchak Weekend Market.

Recently I came across this edition – which from the ‘health declaration form’ inside has been all the way to Pakistan and back.

This magazine is also a ‘Subscriber Copy’ and ‘Not for Resale’. It’s one of the copies that is sold/given to airlines to boost circulation – and ends up at the market thanks to some overzealous airport cleaners.

Not that I am complaining. I can buy weird and wonderful magazines from around the world for the cost of a normal imported magazine at one of Bangkok’ traditional bookshops.
