I FORGOT WHAT COLD FEELS LIKE
Maybe it's because of a rain shower this morning at 6am, but today is the first day I haven't arrived in the office sweating. Not a pleasant thought I know, but it's just part of everyday life here. I think I actually felt cold for the first time in almost two weeks - standing under the air-con unit on the BTS train this morning. I'd almost forgotten what cold feels like.
Because of the rain we opted to take a taxi all the way from the apartment to the closest BTS station. It's more expensive and takes longer but it's drier and cooler. I must have taken about 30 or 40 taxi rides so far and this was the first driver who actually wanted to talk. It turns out he helps with the marketing for the taxi company. His English was okay but I let Tanya do all the talking - I will find out all the details of what he said later this evening.
Spare a thought for me this evening when you are watching the England verus Sweden match. It will be 2am here at kick-off time and I am torn between sleeping through or setting my alarm to wake up and watch it. Let's just hope it will be worth it after the disappointing display against Trinidad.
