TALKING ENGLISH
I had a meeting this morning with an English guy representing one of the biggest publishers in the UK. It was refreshing to be able to talk 'normal' English - even with Tanya I tend to shorten things to make more sense to her. For example, if she asks if I want curry for dinner, I will reply 'can do' or 'cannot', rather that 'Yes, that would be great', or 'No, I would prefer McDonalds'. It's a bad habit and one I need to stop, or else when I return to the UK I will not make sense to anyone.
Talking of returning to the UK, I have been given approval to represent the company at an exhibition in London at the begining of December. Make your appointments with me now to avoid disappointment !
