NOTHING GOES TO PLAN
I know I have made a lot of entries this week, and in the back of my mind I have visions of my brother and sister-in-law cursing me as they print out the latest news for my Mum and Dad, who don't have access to a computer. Just for them, this will be the only entry today.
Friday has been a funny day so far, and you'll know if you read The Bangkok Bugle regularly that nothing in Thailand ever seems to go to plan. This morning I thought I had a meeting with the staff of the new newspaper we have just brought, but what actually happened was that I witnessed the signing of the contract to purchase the paper from its previous owners. The meeting with the staff comes later this afternoon.
After that I thought I would be coming back to the office, but what actually happened was that I went to another company to present a proposal for the forthcoming Business Fair we are organising - and something for which I was totally unprepared.
After that I thought I might have time for lunch, and thankfully what actually happened was that I jumped out of my collegue's car outside a McDonalds and grabbed a take-away Big Mac.
You have to take every opportunity you can in Thailand!

Teresa,
I have lost weight, or at least I think I have. The real test will come in a few weeks time when my Mum, Dad, brother and sister-in-law come out. That will be the first time they have seen me for four months so I will let you know if they notice a difference.
I don't think there's a secret, apart from the hot and humid weather, plus the fact I walk more now than I did back in Wokingham.
