NEW MAGAZINE, AN UPDATE
We're getting closer every day to putting pen to paper on the license agreement for the new magazine. The deal is done but it's just the case now of finalising a couple of minor issues. And they are only minor; they are not going to stop us signing the agreement hopefully later this week or early next week.
One of the main problems for me has been trying to explain to my two Japanese colleagues exactly what the agreement, which of course is in English, means in terms of what is required on a day-to-day basis. I thought about the idea of getting a translation, but they'll have to sign the English version anyway and any translation may end up being too literal of not conveying exactly what is required.
The actual agreement is the best part of 40 pages in length and we've discussed every single point at least two or three times. I need them to understand exactly what is required, because unless my appointment as a Director is made soon they'll be the ones signing and not me.
