RAPID PROGRESSION
During the course of the week I am involved with many meetings, and that's one of the reasons I am not able to update this blog as often as when I first arrived. I'm not complaining though because they are all useful and mostly productive.
Yesterday, during one of these meetings where we were discussing the location of the various departments within the new office, my boss said he'd been talking with the two other directors and they felt it would be good if I was made a Director and sigantory of the company.
To say I was stunned is an understatement, but without being big-headed it does show how much they value what I have done so far and my contribution to the company.
I am not sure if and when that 'promotion' will happen. Tanya, my girlfriend, pointed out that there are many more legal duties and responsibilities that would come with being a Director - and the fact I cannot speak, let alone read, Thai might be a problem on that side of things. Having said that, my CEO has coped well as a Japanese. I guess it will give me even more reason to learn Thai properly.
