WHAT'S IN A NAME?

I have a new job title.
I have to admit the previous 'Executive Foreign Manager' was a both of a mouthful and doesn't really say what I do. I am now just 'Executive Director'. I know that is part of some cunning ploy by my boss to make me an 'official' director of the company, but it will director in name only for the time being. I'll have none of the directorial responsibilities that I am so keen to avoid right now. How can I really be expected to sign official documents in a language a cannot read?
So, from coming here as a mere 'English Editor' I think my new title, for what it's worth, gives you some idea of the responsibility and management duties I already have.
Now, where's my boss? I want to know if this new apparent promption means more money?
