DAY TWO OF CHELTENHAM

Alas Asian Maze appeared to have got lost during yesterday's race and finished in seventh place. I was right about one thing; the favourite - Detroit City - would be beaten.
Today it's the Queen Mother Champion Chase (3.15) which, as I remember, is always run at a pretty ferocious pace. You can't really look beyond the favourite Well Chief, but in this kind of race anything can happen. One horse that might run a big race at a decent price is Dempsey, which is available at around 20/1.
The last race of the day (5.20) is a National Hunt flat race. I like these because my preference was always for flat over jumping. I've had a look and I can make a case for Cooldine which is priced around 33/1. Its single run to date looks impressive when you consider it was ridden by a female amateur jockey. The breeding suggests two miles might be on the short side, but that should mean he's staying on at the end.
If you have any money left after following yesterday's tip then I suggest a small each-way wager on those two selections.
