GOING FOR GOLD

I've always had a fair amount of success in the Cheltenham Gold Cup (3.15pm). Many years ago now I picked Cool Ground which won at 25/1, and I have probably had more winners than losers. Please don't let that be a guide, as right now I've only had one from five selections return any theoretical money.
There is no doubt that favourite Kauto Star is a class horse, but 13/8 is not good value. On the other hand Monkerhostin finished sixth in the same race last year and, in the past, has shown some exception form. That was a long time ago, but he's been lightly raced this season and will be fresh. He'll need to be, but could have the stamina to run into a place and 40/1 is exceptional value in my opinion. He's also entered in the Grand National in April which is over one mile further. I suggest 50p each way.
