TEMPLE FAIR

The temple next to my condo is currently playing host to a fair. It began on Friday evening and is due to run for a few more days. Temple Fairs are pretty common and are generally held to mark significant events as well as raise money.
Yesterday saw a colourful and very noisy Lion Dance competition. Quite how you are supposed to judge which team is best I don't know, but it was certainly enjoyable and well-supported by the locals.
The fair also includes some more traditional side shows, a scary looking big wheel that would fail UK health and safety standards in a second, and of course a wide variety of Thai food.
