FRUSTRATED

I'm feeling frustrated. My Thai colleagues have a set speed of working and no matter what you try it's difficult to get things moving any quicker.
I don't think they are unique in that respect - I think it's probably true for the Thai workplace as a whole. Even when a request is urgent it still takes twice as long as you think it will. And some requests for what I consider to be a simple request will meet with a sigh that wouldn't be out of place from a mechanic who's just been asked to quote for a repair to a total wreck.
I know this is Thailand and things are different, but should I be the one that is adapting to their ways of working or should they be thinking more globally and trying to emulate more Western styles of working? After all we're a global publishing company as I keep reminding them.
