I'VE FINALLY GOT A SECRETARY

It's been 11 months now and I have finally got a secretary of my own - providing she turns up for work tomorrow. I was 'authorised' to get one a long, long time ago but other things just seemed to take priority.
Jenjira - or Jenny to make things easier - is Thai but half Filipino, hence her great understanding of English. She's just graduated from one of Bangkok's top universities with a major in French and a minor in English. She's looking for experience and she'll get that for sure with my company and me. She'll be more of a personal assistant than an outright secretary so she'll get a wide variety of tasks to do.
When I was interviewing last week my friend Steve said I should have adopted a David Brent-style (from a television comedy called The Office for those not in the UK) approach and just select my secretary on looks alone. You'll be pleased to know I resisted that advice and followed a Donald Trump approach based on ability and ambition. She's hired. Sorry Steve.
