GOLF ON THE CHEAP
I went to a Driving Range this morning - a different and in all honestly more poorly maintained range than the first one last week. Although what this one made up for in lack of facilities was more than compensated by for the cost - 100 baht (less than two quid) for five trays (each with 48 balls).
The range had a few conditions, one of which was no use of woods. I assume this is because the length was only around 250 yards and those with a powerful stroke could probably clear the wall at the end. Even with my four iron I was barely managing to get beyond about 175 yards.
Another interesting aspect about this range, apart from the tiny frogs that I had to brush away from the mat before I started, was the birds that seemed intent on providing more additional target practise around the 50 yard mark.
