THAKSIN RETURNS ?

So ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra will return to Thailand and may re-enter politics, according to his chief counsel in a report in The Nation newspaper today.
In many ways he could be seen as a cornered, wounded animal with nothing to lose. That's dangerous for Thailand - regardless of whether you are for or against him.
You'll not find too many Thai people who sit on the fence as far as Thaksin is concerned - their opinions are very polarized. He's been given 60 days to explain his financial affairs to the Assets Examination Committee, so you can expect things to happen soon.
Again quoting The Nation, the Thai Stock Exchange fell 1.42 per cent yesterday on fears that the decision to freeze Thaksin's assets would anger his supporters and lead to bigger protests.
