SAY HI TO MOTO
Here is Moto - my new friend and housemate.
Yesterday we went to the home of one of the Bangkok Soi (Cat and) Dog Rescue volunteers to collect him and bring him home. Moto is about eight months old and, as you can see, only has one eye. He was born on the streets and had an early encounter with a motorcycle which meant he lost his left eye. He was found in a pretty dire state but has made a great recovery and is now just like any other cat in need of a home.
Moto settled in well although he was crying last night. He seems to love being close to people and snuggled up on my bed when he eventually decided it was time to sleep. I think he actually wanted to see the end of the Community Shield before settling down for the night. Perhaps he's a Chelsea fan - that would explain the crying.
If you know me well then you'll know I am allergic to animals. This morning I am suffering a bit but I know it will get easier as Moto and I get more accustomed to each other.

Congratulations to the new addition in your family! :)
That is a very nice thing to do, especially since you have pet allergies.
Good luck to you and your little meow.
Sir, where is this pet rescue located. I want to pay them a visit.
This is very noble of you to adopt Moto.
I added you "Bangkok Taxi" blog in my blogroll at http://storiesfromthailand.blogspot.com/
Cheers, keep taking pics!
Pisanu - the best place to start is www.soidogrescue.org. As far as the cats are concerned they're not all in one place, they are living at foster homes across Bangkok. Moto was living with seven kittens in urgent need of forever homes, although I think there are about 20 that need homing right now. You should be able to get lots of information from the website. Good luck.
