IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Last Saturday's talk at Media Asia Expo went well. Although I only had 20 minutes I said pretty much all I wanted. Around 80 people were in the audience and, with the help of a translator, I think I got my message across.
There were five speakers including me, and all of them are potentially important contacts for the future, especially one guy who is CEO of an advertising agency and is also the vice president of the Advertising Association of Thailand.
The Expo ran for four days. It's hard to measure results because a lot of what we did was about brand awareness. We did manage to sell some subscriptions to the magazine which was a bonus.
I'm still waiting to hear if I will need to speak in Singapore in December. If I do that will be to around 300 publishing executives from around the world. A far more daunting prospect.
