IT WAS BOUND TO HAPPEN SOONER OR LATER

Stories from taxis seem occupy a significant proportion of my tales from Bangkok but I've got another one for you based on what happened a little over 30 minutes ago.
This morning the taxi was stopped by the Police. The reason was the driver had gone through a red light. It's not quite as bad as it sounds because it was one of those situations where it would have been dangerous to have braked to stop as the light changed from amber to red. I'm sure you've all been in similar situations.
It subsequently transpired that the driver didn't have the right license for driving a taxi. He apologised and said he couldn't go any further. Thankfully there was another taxi right behind so the last mile to the office was completed in that one.
