TRAFFIC TRENDS

Bangkok's traffic problems are unique in many ways.
In the last few days I've been working late and leaving the office two or three hours later than normal. When I leave at 6pm - my usual time - it's almost impossible to get a taxi to take me home from my office, yet just two hours there's almost a queue of willing drivers. And the traffic bottlenecks of 7pm have all but disappeared just 60 minutes later.
It seems everyone in Bangkok hits the roads at the same time. For me, leaving two hours later means I'm only one hour later back than normal.
