GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER !

The magazine industry in Thailand is facing challenges from everywhere, yet I'm constantly amazed how some publishers fail to get even the simple things right.
Last weekend I purchased around 20 business-related magazines. Remember this was the weekend of 19-20 January. Of these magazine more than half are December editions. That means we're more than half way through the month and they've yet to get their latest editions on the shelves. Two were even still displaying November editions.
Deadlines mean nothing to almost all publishers (my company is an exception) and some will even wait until they get enough advertising before printing. Is that any way to run a professional publishing business?
I firmly believe the magazine industry in Thailand really needs to get serious if it wants to survive.
