INTERVIEWING A GURU

How many times have I said I've got the best job in the world? It's challenging and very frustrating at times but I do get to meet some wonderful people.
Tomorrow I'm interviewing one of the world's most successful investors in emerging markets for an event that my company is organising. Dr. Mark Mobius and his team are responsible for close to US$50 billion worth of global investments and he's widely regarded as somewhat of a guru within the fund management industry. He's taking part in a panel discussion that I will be moderating.
I guess it's hard not to be impressed with someone who travels the world in his own private jet and has accolades such as being names as one of the world's 'Top 100 most influential and powerful people'.

ADD: Due to quite a few requests for information I am happy to say the Investment Seminar takes place tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon from 1pm until 5.30pm at 8th Floor, Thai Summit Tower, New Phetchburi Road, Bangkok. The event is free however pre-registration is now essential as we're close to being oversubscribed.

I wonder if there is a concern that the oil futures market has created a bit of a bubble of its own? Will the rising oil futures market put a crimp in emerging markets that is out of proportion to the developed markets? How much of a blow to the Chinese economy will the earthquake be? If there is a problem with the Olympics, either direct (protests, uprisings, homegrown or international terrorism, etc) or indirect (the so-called "incubator" concerns of diseases spreading world-wide from the huge diaspora of visitors), what regional economic effects might occur?
