IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE

Zoo Weekly was the latest international licensed magazine to hit Thailand's bookshelves last month. Zoo is the epitome of the lads mag, it's main rival in the UK being Nuts, and the Thai language edition is published by Inspire who also publish a local edition of FHM.
I'm a little surprised by this launch although of course I wish Inspire the best of luck. It's aimed at a sector that doesn't generally pick up magazines - especially at 50 baht (80p) a week. It's also a little close to the mark in terms of content and what is deemed acceptable. The copy I got had a small piece of cellotape to keep it from being read in the shop.
We looked at this sector ourselves around two years ago and couldn't make a financial case from bringing either Nuts or Zoo to Thailand. There are around 50 licensed titles here in Thailand now - what overseas magazine would you like to see here in Thai?
