RUSSIAN BALLET

My company hosted a visit from a group of extremely talented Russian ballet stars last weekend as part of the Russia-Thailand Cultural Day. The group included four dancers from two of Russia's leading ballet companies. During their time in Thailand they gave a master class to some aspiring Thai ballet students and gave a wonderful sell-out performance at Bangkok's Patravadi Theatre. This picture, taken with me, my boss and representatives from one of the sponsors, was taken on Saturday morning and I think it's easy to spot the Russian dancers.

I do not know much about Thai ballet. How did the class go?

The class involved the Russian professionals giving some tips to aspiring Thai youngsters. I understand it went amazingly well although I did not go myself. Can you really see me in a ballet dress?

You could have gone as Richard Gere, as in Shall We Dance. Thais make allowances for foreigners, even when they want to dance ballroom in a ballet class.
