GET YOUR BAHT TO THAILAND

That's the title of Air Asia's catchy new 3-day campaign aimed at getting more tourists to Thailand.
They're offering free seats (you do have to pay taxes) to Bangkok from Vietnam, Cambodia, Myammar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and China. The airline is also offering free flights within Thailand.
Hurry if you want to take advantage of these offers. Booking ends tomorrow and travel is for early next year. Check the website for more details.

Did you notice the Thai language version of the advert? It was called 'Mai Pen Rai Thailand"

Our airports have been closed for 10 days ahhhh mai pen rai! Classic stuff.

Yes, and it was hard to decide whether to use that as the main focus of this post.

For those who don't know 'mai pen rai' means 'never mind' or 'it doesn't matter'.

Classic stuff indeed, but I wonder if that 'mai pen rai' concept actually came from someone inside Thailand?
