MAGAZINE PRICES

I thought it would be interesting, mainly for those outside of Thailand, to see the price we pay here for some of our imported news and business English language magazines. These prices and approximate currency conversions are current as of 18 December 2008.

The Economist - 210 baht (US$ 6.08, £3.92)
(Weekly Asian edition)
---
BusinessWeek - 190 baht (US$ 5.50, £3.55)
(Weekly UK and Europe edition)
---
Time - 150 baht (US$ 4.34, £2.80)
(Weekly Asian edition)
---
Newsweek - 135 baht (US$ 3.92, £2.52)
(Weekly Asian edition)
---
Fortune - 220 baht ((US$ 6.40, £4.10)
(Monthly North American edition)
---
Forbes Asia - 200 baht (US$ 5.79, £3.74)
(Bi-weekly Asian edition)
---

As you can see the price of magazines here in Thailand is not too different from what's paid for magazines in other parts of the world. Coming next week will be a similar look at the cost of Thai language licensed editions versus their imported English language counterparts.
