THE NATION'S RESISTIBLE 'IRRESISTIBLE' OFFER

Back on October 25 The Nation announced a tie-up with Newsweek for subscriptions. Basically buy The Nation for a year and get a year's worth of Newsweek thrown in, along with a 1,000 baht shopping voucher. For the regular reader financially it's a good offer.
Since then I've had at least three pieces of direct mail through the post and a similar number of emails trying to tempt me to sign up, and that's not to mention all the (over the top, in my opinion) front page puffing of the 'irresistible' offer.
Sorry. It is resistible, to me anyway.
One thing to note is the original deadline for sign-ups was today, December 15, yet today's email that's dropped into my Inbox extends the offer until the end of next month. Surely not another month-and-a-half of subscriptions marketing?
