CONTENT GALORE

Phuket newspaper readers - at least those who get a copy of the Phuket Gazette every Friday - are literally spoiled for choice in terms of the content they get each week.
Not only do they get the Phuket Gazette; they also get a copy of the weekly China Daily and Russia Beyond The Headlines (all in English) as part of their purchase.
If anything it shows the cosmopolitan nature of Phuket's newspaper readership at the moment, but surely the point of a 'local' newspaper is the bring local news to local people?
How many people on the island really care about China or Russia? In my opinion they would rather know what's happening down the road than thousands of miles away.
Of course I could be wrong, but that's my opinion.
Note: The Phuket Gazette is published "in association with he Nation Multimedia Group PLC.
