KEEPING IN TOUCH

The internet is great for keeping in touch - after all you're reading this aren't you? Before I start work most days I like to check what's happeing back 'home' in the UK. CNN is good to a point but will never feature anything other that stories with worldwide importance. I like to read about other more mundane things - like a proposed increase in parking charges in Wokingham, and the latest plans to relocate Wokingham & Emmbrook FC to Cantley Park.
If you're interested in a personal view of what's happeing in Reading (especially) then I can thoroughly reccommend Simon Jones' blog. He's the editor of The Reading Chronicle and his entries give a good insight into the life of a newspaper person in the UK. The link is http://blog.readingchronicle.co.uk/.
On the subject of Wokingham, I understand I had a letter published in The Wokingham Times - my old newspaper - last week about the parking charges debate. I am sure people in town are wondering what on earth it's got to do with someone living in Bangkok!
