YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW ...

... that the Thai baht is currently the world's best performing currency against the US dollar so far this year - and that is despite everything that has been happening here recently.
What it means is that if you're coming here on holiday you will get marginally less Thai baht for your British pound or US dollar (meaning things are a bit more expensive) - but for me it means I will have to spend less Thai baht to get the same amounts of British pounds. We're not talking mega differences though - for example it would have cost me 70,000 baht to get 1,000 pounds late last year - now it will only cost something like 68,000 baht. In reverse you would have got 70,000 baht for your 1,000 pounds in December - now it's only 68,000 baht.
It's swings and roundabouts I guess but I'll be happy if it keeps heading in the same direction.
