RESTAURANT 509

On Sunday I decided to sample the culinary delights of a place that has become a home to me. I know the head chef pretty well and his assistant is gorgeous too ....

Okay, I cannot keep this up. I created something on Sunday in my condo ... I was going to say 'cooked' but that wouldn't be totally correct. I do love cooking, but the limited space and lack of facilities, not to mention lack of time, has prevented me from being anywhere hear as creative compared to when I was in the UK.
This particular creation is creamy mashed potatoes topped with a real beef, mushroom and cheese burger. I will admit the mashed potatoes came from a packet and were regenerated in the microwave. The burger did use real minced beef and sliced Chinese shitake mushrooms. The surprise (well it wasn't a surprise because I put it there, and Tanya doesn't eat beef so it wasn't a surprise for anyone) was a slice of melted processed cheddar cheese in the centre. I was pretty pleased and Tanya loved the creamy mashed potatoes. When you take into account what I have to play with here I think I did quite well.
I'll give 10 out of 10 for both the food and ambiance. Where else can you sit on your own bed and watch your own TV whilst eating nice food. This place gets The Bangkok Bugle 'seal of approval', although you'll have to book ahead if you want to eat here.
