WARGAMES IN BANGKOK

The commander of Thailand's First Army region has urged the Bangkok public not to worry about troops exercising in Bangkok today. He is reported as saying they will be conducting 'routine exercises to ensure preparedness'.
Preparedness for what? Is Bangkok about to be invaded? Is there something we're not being told? I have to say that I've yet to see any troops on the streets today myself, however I fear this is probably another case of the words getting lost in translation and they're probably readying themselves for terror attacks as any good army should.
